A Midsummer Night’s Dream

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

o.s. Hermia. Amy
Puck. Helena  Katie
Egeus. Demetrius. Duke. Oberon Zidane
Lysander. Titania. Donkey’s head  Willis

O.S: There is a law in Greece . By this law, a father was able to choose a man as a husband for his daughter. The daughter had to agree to marry this man, or die.
There has a father who wants his daughter, Hermia , to marry a rich and handsome man, Demetrius. But his daughter doesn’t want to marry with him, because she doesn’t love the man. And another reason is she falls in love with the other man, Lysander.
One day………………….

Egeus: Listen, Hermia. Because you’re the person lives in this country, so you have to fallow the law here. You have to marry with the man I choose, not this man (point at Lysander) , or you’ll be dead
Hermia: But I love him. And he will be the man who I want to marry with.
Lysander: Yes. Why can’t I marry with her? And I got something to tell. Demetrius loved Hermia’s friend, Helena, and she still loves him. So he should marry Helena.
Egeus: You have no choice. Don’t do such a stupid thing anymore. Or you’ll be dead.

(when Lysander and Hermia along)
Lysander: listen to me, Hermia. I have an aunt who lives a long way from Athens. The law of Athens can’t stop us there. I will wait you at the wood outside Athens tomorrow’s night.
Hermia: ok. I’ll meet you there.
Lysander: Good. Keep you promise. Look, who is coming…….
Hemiar: where are you going?
Helena: I am come here to find you. Do you know that how much I love Demetrius. But he always cares about you, not me. And I want wins his heart so much.
Hemiar: I don’t want him to love me.
Helela: But I do. (cry or something…..)
Hermia: Don’t be sad. Demetrius won’t see my face anymore.
Helena: Why you say so?

O.S : Hermia tells about the plan to leave Athens to the Helena. And the stupid girl, Helena, go to let on this plan to Demetrius.

O.S: The next night, Hermia and Lysander met in the wood outside Athens. In this wood, there have lived many other people-not the ordinary people-they are fairies. And the king and queen of the fairies were called Oberon and Titania.

But at that time Oberon and Titania have a big fight. They are arguing about a boy. The king wants the boy to be his servant, but the queen didn’t want to give the boy to Oberon. So the fight was beginning.
One day, in the wood , the two fairies met each other….
Oberon: Why are you angry with me, Titania? I only want your servant boy?
Titania: Stop asking me for him. I’m keeping him because of his mother. She was a very good friend to me. So I’ll never give him to you.
O.S: Oberom wanted to make Titania sorry for her impolite. So he called his favorite servant, Puck.
Oberon: Listen, Puck. I have an important job for you. There is a beautiful flower called “lazy love”. It has a special juice inside. If a man or woman is asleep, you can drop some juice on their eyes. When they wake up, they will fall in love with the man or animal they see. Go to find it and bring it to me now!!!
Puck: Yes. I’ll go to find it as soon as possible.

O.S: The Oberon think if he drops some juice on the Titania’s eyes, then the queen will fall in love with first thing she see. So she won’t get interested in her servant boy, and he’ll also get the boy he wants for long time.

O.S: While Puck was away, Demetrius and Helena passed through the wood near Oberon. Demetrius was following Hermia, but he didn’t want Helena with him.
Demetrius: Go away, Helena. I don’t love you. I’ve come to this wood to find Hermia. I love her and I’m going to kill Lysander. So stop following me-I don’t want you here.
Helena: But I love you. I am going to follow you, Demetrius.
Demetrius: Then I’ll run away from you. I’ll leave you with the wild animals-perhaps they’ll eat you!
O.S: They walked through the wood without seeing the fairy king, but Oberon could see and hear everything. When he heard Demetrius’s unkind words to Helena, he felt sad and decided to help Helena.
Then Puck returned with the flowers. Before Oberon took the flowers to look for Titania, he gave Puck some of the juice from the flower.
Oberon: Take this magic juice and go through the wood to look for a young man from Athens. Put some juice on his eyes when he’s asleep, and be sure that the lady must be the first thing that he sees.
Puck: I’ll do as you tell me.
O.S: After Puck said that, Oberon flew away.
Oberon found Titania asleep in a lovely place. He dropped some of the magic juice on her eyes. His plan was going well and he was very happy!
Oberon: When you wake up, the magic juice will work and you’ll love the first thing that you see. So open your eyes when something ugly is near you!
O.S: While Oberon was putting the magic juice on Titania’s eyes, Puck was looking for Demetrius and Helena. But he couldn’t find them anywhere. Besides, he saw some workmen from Athens near Titania.
Puck: What are these people doing? Let me stop and listen to them.
O.S: The workmen were practicing a play which will show at the wedding of the Duke of Athens. But they weren’t good actors and they were saying a lot of stupid things.
The most stupid man was called Bottom. Puck decided to have some fun and to play a joke on Bottom. So when Bottom was along, he changed Bottom’s head into the head of a donkey.
Bottom didn’t know that now he had a donkey head, so when he came back to the other workmen, they all ran away.
Bottom: Why did they run away? Perhaps they’re trying to frighten me. But I’ll show them that I’m not afraid. I’ll stay here and sing loufly.
O.S: Bottom started to sing in his donkey’s voice, and the loud voice woke Titania, the fairy queen. When she opened her eyes, the magic juice began to work and Titania fell deeply in love with him.
Titania: Oh my dear, please sing again. You have a lovely voice, and you’re so handsome. Come and stay here with me!
My favorite fairies, be kind and polite to this wonderful man, be his servant and look after him well. Bring him the best food.
O.S: Then Titania and her fairies took Bottom to her beautiful fairy garden.
Titania: Come and sit with me on this bed of flowers. I shall put roses in your hair, and touch your lovely face and kiss your handsome big ears.
O.S: Bottom enjoyed having fairy servants. He told them to do a lot of stupid things. The magic was still working on Titania, so she agreed to everything.
Titania: What would you like to eat, my love?
Bottom: I want some dried grass, and then I’ll go to sleep. You’re people mustn’t wake me.
Titania: Sleep in my arms, I love you so much.
O.S: After Puck gave Bottom the donkey’s head, he continued to look for Helena and Demetrius. Finally he saw a young man asleep in the wood, and near him was a beautiful young lady.
Puck: Young man of Athens wear clothes like his clothes, he’s must be the man that Oberon told me about. Good, I’ll put the juice on his eyes. And when he woke up, he’ll fall in love with the lady.
O.S: Puck dropped some juice on the man’s eyes and flew back to Oberon with pleased.
But he made a mistake. The young man was Lysander, not Demetrius, and the young lady was Hermia, not Helena.
Then Helena came to the place where Lysander and Hermia were sleeping. She was too tired to run after Demetrius now, so she was walking through the wood, sad and alone. She then saw Lysander and woke him.
(Lysander opened his eyes and the magic began to work.)
Lysander: Oh Helena, you’re so beautiful! I’ll run through tire for you! Where’s that unkind Demetrius? I’ll kill him.
Helena: Don’t say that, Lysander. Demetrius loves your Hermia, but she loves you and you love her. Be happy about that.
Lysander: Oh no, no! My time with Hermia was very boring. It’s finished now. I love you, Helena!

Helena: Why are you laughing at me? I don't want to stay here and listen to you. I'm going.
(Helena ran off into the wood again)
O.S: But Lysander really was in love with Hermia who still asleep. So he left her and followed Helena into the wood. Then Hermia woke up and called out to Lysander. But he wasn't there. Hermia was alone and afraid so she ran into the wood to find him. While Hermia was looking for Lysander, she met Demetrius in the wood. Demetrius was very pleased to see her but she wasn't pleased to see him.

O.S: Puck went back to Oberon.
Oberon: Well? Did you put the love juice on the eyes of that unkind young man from Athens?
Puck: Yes, Everything will be fine now. He'll see the lady when he wakes up. Then he'll fall in love with her.
O.S: Then Puck and Oberon heard the voices of a man and woman. The woman's voice was very angry.
Oberon: Look, here comes the young man.
Puck: The woman is the same but the man is different. That's very strange.
O.S: The two people were Hermia and Demetrius.
Demetrius: Dear Hermia, why are you angry with me? I love you so much!
Hermia: Where is my Lysander? Have you killed him? Kill me too, please. I don't want to live without him.
Demetrius: I don't know where he is.
Hermia: But I don't believe you. Did you kill him while he was asleep? That's very brave of you. I hate you!
Demetrius: You're wrong! I didn't kill him.
O.S: Hermia didn't believe Demetrius so she ran off into the wood. Demetrius was too tired to follow her so he lay down on the ground. Soon he was asleep.
Oberon: What have you down? You've made a terrible mistake. You've put the juice on the eyes of the wrong man. Go through the wood, find the other young lady and bring her here immediately. I'll put some juice on this man's eyes, then he'll see her when he wakes up.

O.S: Puck soon found Helena. He brought her to the place where Demetrius was sleeping. Lysander followed her and he was still talking about his great love for her.
Helena: (sadly) Why are you laughing at me? Have you forgotten Hermia?
Lysander: Hermia isn't important to me. You're my only love, Helena.
O.S: The sound of their voices woke Demetrius. Because he had the magic juice in his eyes, he fell in love with Helena when he saw her. Now Lysander and Demetrius loved Helena. Demertrius: Helena! You're so beautiful. Can I kiss you, my princess? I love you more than anything in the world.
Helena: What? I can't understand what was happening. So now you both want to play games, right? Oh, hate me if you like, but don't laugh at me.
Lysander: Don't be unkind, Demetrius. You love Hermia, not Helena. I'll give you Hermia. I don't love her now. And I love Helena, I won't love another woman until I die.
Demetrius: You can keep Hermia! I'm not interested in her now. Helena is my only love!
O.S: Hermia was still in the same part of the wood, and she heard the two men's voices. She came to see what was happening.
(When Hermia saw Lysander, she was very happy.)
Hermia: Lysander, dear Lysander! Why did you leave me alone in the wood?
Lysander: What do you want, Hermia? Just go away. I don't love you anymore. I love Helena now.
(Hermia didn't believe him but Helena said to her)
Helena: I totally understand. The three of you-you and Lysander and
Demetrius-have made a plan to hurt me. We've been good friends for many years, Hermia. And I loved you very much. How can you do this to me? How can you be so unkind?
Hermia: (Angry) I don't know what you mean. I don't understand what's
happening? And I don't know why Lysander saying:" I love Helena now"!
Lysander: It's true! I love you, Helena!
Demetrius: I love you more than him!
O.S: The two men went off to another part of the wood to fight for Helena.
Helena: I'm not staying here with you. I'm going, too.
(Helena ran away and Hermia followed her.)

Oberon: You did all this!
Puck: It was a mistake! I looked for a young man from Athens and I dropped the magic juice on his eyes. That's what you told me to do. So I didn't do anything wrong. But I'm glad that I made a mistake. It's very funny.
Oberon: And now, we'll have to help these four young lovers. Listen to me. The two young men are looking for a place to fight. So fill the night with a thick black cloud. They won't be able to see through the cloud. They'll get tired and fall asleep. I have the juice from another flower here. Take it and put it on Lysander's eyes. His old love for Hermia will return. Demetrius will still be in love with Helena. So everyone will be happy again. Everything will seem like a dream. Now, go and do your work!
(After Puck left, Oberon went to find Titania.)
Oberon: I'll take the little boy from her and after that I'll make her free
again. Then she'll stop loving that stupid man with the donkey's head.
(When Oberon found Titania, she was asleep. Her fairies and her servants lay near her. Oberon took the little servant boy from her.)

O.S: Bottom lay near Titania with beautiful flowers round his head. He
looked very stupid. Now Oberon began to feel sorry for his fairy queen. So he touched her eyes with another flower and Titania woke up.
Titania: (cried) My Oberon, I've had a very strange dream. I thought that I
was in love with a donkey.
Oberon: There he is. (He pointed to Bottom)
Titania: But how did this happen? Oh, I can't look at his ugly face!
(Puck came back)
Oberon: Puck, take the donkey's head away from this man. Titania, let's have some music. All these five people-Bottom, Demetrius, Lysander, Hermia and Helena-must fall into a deep sleep. And when they wake up, they won't remember anything.
Titania: Ok, let's party!
Oberon: Come and dance with me, my queen. Let's go round the world, faster than the moon.
Titania: Yeah, and you must tell me what happened. Why was I asleep near this donkey?
(Oberon and Titania left happily)

O.S: Early the next morning, the Duke of Athens and Egeus came to the wood with their friends and servants. They were looking for the four young people, and found them asleep on the ground. When they heard the voices of the duke and his friends. The young people woke up. They couldn't remember anything clearly. Everything was like a strange dream. Now, Lysander loved Hermia, and Demetrius loved Helena. The duke was a very clever man. He saw that Demetrius didn't love Hermia now. He didn't know why but he knew that this was a happy ending for everybody. Even Egeus had to agree with the duke that he couldn't order Hermia to marry
Demetrius now.
Duke: Let's all go back to Athens. There, Lysander will marry Hermia, and Demetrius will marry Helena. I am also getting married soon. Let's all get married and be happy!

Bermuda Triangle

The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle, lies in the western part of the Atlantic Ocean. It has been described as a mysterious dimension where unexplained tragedies, mostly maritime, occur. Learn more.
Bermuda Triangle ~ Devil's Triangle
Earth Grid - Vortexes - Devil's Triangle - Bermuda Triangle

This area has a high degree of electromagnetic energy and is often thought of as a portal - vortex - or wormhole to somewhere off planet Earth. It has stirred the imagination of many writers and those who think beyond physical Earth. And in the past 100 years, the Bermuda Triangle has been known to have claimed over 1000 lives.
Many seemingly inexplicable occurrences and disappearances have taken place in this particular area. No rational explanation that will satisfy the materialistic parameters of the typical scientist has been offered that would account for all the mysterious happenings that have taken place in the Bermuda Triangle during the course of many thousands of years.
The Media Blitz
Several books suggested that the disappearances were due to an intelligent, technologically advanced race living in space or under the sea.
The Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Devil's Triangle and Hoodoo Sea, birthed its legend on September 09, 1950 in a strange AP dispatch. E.V.W. Jones, a reporter, penned an article on a strange anomaly he had stumbled across. It seemed as if a unusual number of planes and ships had been disappearing in the ocean between Florida and Bermuda.
Two years later, in 1952, Fate magazine published an article by George X. Sand who wrote of a "series of strange marine disappearances, each leaving no trace whatever, that have taken place in the past few years in a watery triangle bounded roughly by Florida, Bermuda, and Puerto Rico".
In 1974, Charles Berlitz published the infamous The Bermuda Triangle. Although some discount the book as sensationalism at its extreme and full of inaccuracies, it sold thousands of copies and put the Bermuda Triangle squarely in the minds of the world population.
"The position - the continent of Atlantis occupied is between the Gulf of Mexico on the one hand and the Mediterranean upon the other. Evidences of this lost civilization are to be found in the Pyrenees and Morocco, British Honduras, Yucatan and America. There are some protruding portions that must have at one time or another been a portion of this great continent. The British West Indies, or the Bahamas, are a portion of same that may be seen in the present. If the geological survey would be made in some of these especially, or notably in Bimini and in the Gulf Stream through this vicinity, these may be even yet determined".
When Atlantis was destroyed it sank to the very bottom of the ocean. While the ruined temples now play host to multitudinous underwater creatures, the great Atlantean fire-crystals that once provided so much of the tremendous power and energy that was found in Atlantis long ago still exist. And they are still emitting strong energy beams into the universe.
Unfortunately, however, when the destruction occurred some of these fire-crystals were partially damaged, which has resulted in them only being able to project their energy rays at random. It is said that each fire-crystal would have been at least twenty feet high and some eight feet wide. In Atlantis these fire- crystals would have been erected in a series of three, thus creating a vortex of astronomical energy and a power of the first magnitude!
From time to time, the force field emitted by these damaged Atlantean fire-crystals becomes very powerful and any plane or ship coming within the influence of this force field disintegrates and is transformed into pure energy. Hence the inexplicable and mysterious disappearances that has very often been blamed on the area of the ocean known as the Bermuda Triangle!
Public responses
Critics have charged that Berlitz, and others have exaggerated the "mysterious" aspects of some cases (Berlitz himself did not advocate any supernatural explanation), and argue that the Bermuda Triangle sees no more "disappearances" than any comparable area of the oceans. Of note, Lloyd's of London has determined the "triangle" to be no more dangerous than any other piece of the ocean, and does not charge unusual rates of insurance for passage through the area. Coast Guard records confirm this.
Skeptics comment that the disappearance of a train between two stops would be more convincing evidence of paranormal activity, and the fact that such things do not occur suggests that paranormal explanations are not needed to explain the disappearance of ships and airplanes in the far less predictable open ocean.
The Mysterious Events
Over 200 separate mysterious disappearances have been attributed to the Devil's Triangle, including massive vessels such as the USS Cyclops and the SS Marine Sulphur Queen.
In 1492, Christopher Columbus made several interesting recordings in his log during his journey through the Devil's Triangle. He told of strange magnetic deviances in his navigation instruments. Strange lights were seen on the distant horizon and in the sky. He even recorded in his log of a "great flame of fire" that crashed into the ocean.
Another mysterious event occurred in 1872. The Mary Celeste had departed on November 7, 1872 for Genoa. On December 4, 1872, the crew of the Dei Gratia spotted the vessel and noted the ship was sailing very erratically. When they turned and approached the ship they were astonished to find it completely empty. The lifeboat was missing even though the ship appeared to be in perfect condition.
The disappearance of Flight 19 ranks at the very top of Bermuda Triangle lore. On December 5, 1945, five Navy Avengers vanished while on a routine training mission over the Atlantic. Patrol leader Lt. Charles Taylor (an experienced pilot who was familiar with the area) had radioed Florida with the bizarre message, "Control tower this is an emergency. We seem to be off course. We seem to be lost. We can't make out where we are." . When told to head due west they replied "Everything looks wrong, even the ocean looks strange". A Navy search was initiated (including a Martin Mariner that blew up 23 minutes into its flight) that lasted for weeks. No trace was ever found of the aircraft or crew.
On December 27, 1948, a commercial flight traveling from Puerto Rico to Florida, met a similar fate. NC-16002 DC-3 radioed Miami that they were 50 miles out and ready to receive landing instructions. Miami radioed back the instructions and awaited a reply of confirmation. None was ever received. After 3 hours, a search and rescue team was sent out to find the missing aircraft. In calm seas and clear weather, no trace was found of the craft or its passengers.
The U. S. Board of Geographic Names does not recognize the Bermuda Triangle as an official name and does not maintain an official file on the area. The Bermuda or Devil's Triangle is an imaginary area located off the southeastern Atlantic coast of the United States, which is noted for a high incidence of unexplained losses of ships, small boats, and aircraft. The apexes of the triangle are generally accepted to be Bermuda, Miami, Fla., and San Juan, Puerto Rico. First, the "Devil's Triangle" is one of the two places on Earth that a magnetic compass does point towards true north. Normally it points toward magnetic north. The difference between the two is known as compass variation. The amount of variation changes by as much as 20 degrees as one circumnavigates the earth. If this compass variation or error is not compensated for, a navigator could find himself far off course and in deep trouble. An area called the "Devil's Sea" by Japanese and Filipino seamen, located off the east coast of Japan, also exhibits the same magnetic characteristics. It is also known for its mysterious disappearances.Another environmental factor is the character of the Gulf Stream. It is extremely swift and turbulent and can quickly erase any evidence of a disaster. The unpredictable Caribbean-Atlantic weather pattern also plays its role. Sudden local thunder storms and water spouts often spell disaster for pilots and mariners. Finally, the topography of the ocean floor varies from extensive shoals around the islands to some of the deepest marine trenches in the world. With the interaction of the strong currents over the many reefs the topography is in a state of constant flux and development of new navigational hazards is swift. Not to be under estimated is the human error factor. A large number of pleasure boats travel the waters between Florida's Gold Coast and the Bahamas. All too often, crossings are attempted with too small a boat, insufficient knowledge of the area's hazards, and a lack of good seamanship. The Coast Guard is not impressed with supernatural explanations of disasters at sea. It has been their experience that the combined forces of nature and unpredictability of mankind outdo even the most far fetched science fiction many times each year.
1. Christopher Columbus
The first legends of the Bermuda Triangle begin already with Christopher Columbus. As a captain, he was greatly respected, and his brave sailing efforts helped revolutionize the world. Much of the information we have about Columbus is picked up directly from his journal, so we are able to trace his footsteps to the New World. His first problem occurred as he ran into the Sargasso Sea.
2.Freak Waves
Research has shown that freak waves up to 30m (100 feet) tall, capable of sinking the largest ships within moments, can and do happen. Although these are very rare, in some areas ocean currents mean they happen more often than the norm. Such waves have now been hypothesised as a cause for many unexplained shipping losses over the years.
3.The Sargasso Sea
It resides in the east of the triangle in the middle of the Atlantic. It houses a few small islands and masses of clumped floating seaweed. A warm water current within it swirls clockwise, affecting the weather of the area, keeping it calm and steamy. Having little wind, this area greatly affects unpowered ships. Christopher Columbus wrote in his diary of this sea. In fact, it so fooled his crew that it almost led them to mutiny. The possibility exists of never leaving this legendary sea. Another fascinating feature of this sea is its ability to draw things in from all over the Atlantic. Some even claim it to be the "catch-basin" of the Atlantic.
The crew was greatly disappointed when seaweed and land birds were sighted, but after a few days no land was to be seen. Soon after, Columbus reported his compass acting strangely. He did not report this to his crew due to their deep superstitions. Days later, Columbus saw a large meteor fall from the sky. He described it as "a large ball of light fallen from the sky." It is unsure whether he mentions this occurrence in awe, because of its great size, or in fright. Later in their trip, Columbus and a few crew members sighted a few dancing lights on the horizon. They wandered about in the Caribbean for over a week yet before sighting land. Since Columbus, as many as 100 ships and planes have been reported missing, taking over 1000 lives.
4.The Saga of Flight 19
Five planes similar to these 'Avengers' disappeared in 1945.
The tale of Flight 19 started on December 5th, 1945. Five Avenger torpedo bombers lifted into the air from the Navel Air Station at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at 2:10 in the afternoon. It was a routine practice mission and the flight was composed of all students except for the Commander, a Lt. Charles Taylor.
The mission called for Taylor and his group of 13 men to fly due east 56 miles to Hens and Chicken Shoals to conduct practice bombing runs. When they had completed that objective, the flight plan called for them to fly an additional 67 miles east, then turn north for 73 miles and finally straight back to base, a distance of 120 miles. This course would take them on a triangular path over the sea.
About an hour and a half after the flight had left, a Lt. Robert Cox picked up a radio transmission from Taylor. Taylor indicated that his compasses were not working, but he believed himself to be somewhere over the Florida Keys (the Keys are a long chain of islands south of the Florida mainland). Cox urged him to fly north, toward Miami, if Taylor was sure the flight was over the Keys.
Planes today have a number of ways that they can check their current position including listening to a set of GPS (Global Positioning Satellites) in orbit around the Earth. It is almost impossible for a pilot to get lost if he has the right equipment and uses it properly. In 1945, though, planes flying over water had to depend on knowing their starting point, how long and fast they had flown, and in what direction. If a pilot made a mistake with any of these figures, he was lost. Over the ocean there were no landmarks to set him right.
Apparently Taylor had become confused at some point in the flight. He was an experienced pilot, but hadn't spent a lot of time flying east toward the Bahamas which was where he was going on that day. For some reason Taylor apparently thought the flight had started out in the wrong direction and had headed south toward the Keys, instead of east. This thought was to color his decisions throughout the rest of the flight with deadly results.
The more Taylor took his flight north to try to get out of the Keys, the further out to sea the Avengers actually traveled. As time went on, snatches of transmissions were picked up on the mainland indicating the other Flight 19 pilots were trying to get Taylor to change course. "If we would just fly west," one student told another, "we would get home." He was right.
By 4:45 P.M. it was obvious to the people on the ground that Taylor was hopelessly lost. He was urged to turn control of the flight over to one of his students, but apparently he didn't. As it grew dark, communications deteriorated. From the few words that did get through it was apparent Taylor was still flying north and east, the wrong directions.
At 5:50 P.M. the ComGulf Sea Frontier Evaluation Center managed get a fix on Flight 19's weakening signals. It was apparently east of New Smyrna Beach, Florida. By then communications were so poor that this information could not be passed to the lost planes.
At 6:20 a Dumbo Flying Boat was dispatched to try and find Flight 19 and guide it back. Within the hour two more planes, Martin Mariners, joined the search. Hope was rapidly fading for Flight 19 by then. The weather was getting rough and the Avengers were very low on fuel.
The two Martin Mariners were supposed to rendezvous at the search zone. The second one, designated Training 49, never showed up.
The last transmission from Flight 19 was heard at 7:04 P.M. Planes searched the area through the night and the next day. There was no sign of the Avengers.
Nor did the authorities really expect to find much. The Avengers, crashing when their fuel was exhausted, would have been sent to the bottom in seconds by the 50 foot waves of the storm. As one of Taylor's colleagues noted, "they didn't call those planes 'Iron Birds' for nothing. They weighed 14,000 pounds empty. So when they ditched, they went down pretty fast."
What happened to the missing Martin Mariner? Well, the crew of the SS Gaines Mill observed an explosion over the water shortly after the Mariner had taken off. They headed toward the site and there they saw what looked like oil and airplane debris floating on the surface. None of it was recovered because of the bad weather, but there seems little doubt this was the remains of the Mariner. The plane had a reputation as being a "flying bomb" which would burst into flame from even a single, small spark. Speculation is that one of 22 men on board, unaware that the unpressurized cabin contained gas fumes, lit a cigarette, causing the explosion.
So how did this tragedy turn into a Bermuda Triangle mystery? The Navy's original investigation concluded the accident had been caused by Taylor's confusion. Taylor's mother refused to accept that and finally got the Navy to change the report to read that the disaster was for "causes or reasons unknown." This may have spared the woman's feelings, but blurred the actual facts.
The saga of Flight 19 is probably the most repeated story about the Bermuda Triangle. The planes, and their pilots, even found their way into the science fiction film classic, Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Where is Flight 19 now?
In 1991 five Avengers were found in 600 feet of water off the coast of Florida by the salvage ship Deep Sea. Examination of the planes showed that they were not Flight 19, however, so the final resting place of the planes, and their crews is still the Bermuda Triangle's secret.
Modern Theories
Some of the more esoteric theories include alien abductions, time warps, strange magnetic fields, and black holes. Some have even theorized that the ancient city of Atlantis existed in this area (Edgar Cayce gave a reading in 1932 that placed the city of Atlantis precisely in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle).
Rational Explanations
But debunkers have been quick to offer rational explanations for all the mysterious events. Two items met the public's eye during 1975 that served to demystify the Bermuda Triangle mystery for many persons. In 1975, The Bermuda Triangle Mystery - Solved was published. In this book, Larry Kusche set out to disprove prior theories by offering common, everyday explanations for these unusual events. His extensive research unearthed many factual errors in previous author's works. He discovered that many of the missing vessels had since been found. He also told of the many exaggerations that existed for the circumstances surrounding the events.
For instance, could the flame of fire that Columbus saw been a more sensible meteor? How about the fact that the Flight 19 patrol leader's craft had a malfunctioning compass? Could Lt. Charles Taylor simply missed Florida and sailed his crew straight off into the Gulf of Mexico never to be seen again? Could the extreme depths of the Atlantic (the deepest Ocean in the world) or its strong current explain the lack of physical evidence being found after these disasters? Or do marine disasters that occur in other parts of the world simply merit less media attention that the legendary Devil's Triangle?
On April, 09 1975, Mary Margaret Fuller, editor of Fate magazine, took it upon herself to write Lloyd's of London to see what type of statistics they had compiled on insurance payoffs incurred in the mysterious region.
According to Lloyd's Records, 428 vessels have been reported missing throughout the world since 1955, and it may interest you to know that our intelligence service can find no evidence to support the claim that the Bermuda Triangle has more losses than elsewhere. This finding is upheld by the United States Coastguard whose computer based records of casualties in the Atlantic go back to 1958.
Maybe we should just sit on this one a while and see what else turns up...
1. Metaphysics:
Many people believe that the Bermuda Triangle houses the famous lost city of Atlantis which is another grid reality running parallel to our experience in 3D Earth. No evidence has been brought forth to prove this theory, but many claim to have felt the powers of the lost city.
In 1933, Edgar Cayce suggested in two readings that the Atlanteans possessed some form of atomic power and radioactive forces:
"Through the same form of fire the bodies of individuals were regenerated by burning, through application of rays from stone, the influences that brought destructive forces to an animal organism. Hence the body often rejuvenated itself and it remained in that land until the eventual destruction, joining with the peoples who made for the breaking up of the land, or joining with Belial at the final destruction of the land. In this, the entity lost. At first it was not the intention nor desire for destructive forces. Later it was for ascension of power itself.
"As for a description of the manner of construction of the stone: we find it was a large cylindrical glass (as would be termed today), cut with facets in such manner that the capstone or force that concentrated between the end of the cylinder and the capstone itself.
"As indicated, the records as to ways of constructing same are in three places in the earth, as it stands today: in the sunken portion of Atlantis, or Poseidia, where a portion of the temples may yet be discovered under the slime of ages of sea water - near what is known as Bimini, off the coast of Florida. And (secondly) in the temple records that were in Egypt, where the entity acted later in cooperation with others towards preserving the records that came from the land where these had been kept. Also (thirdly) the records that were carried to what is now Yucatan, in America, where these stones (which they know so little about) are now, during the last few months, being uncovered." (December 20, 1933)
2. There have been theories about aliens using the portals to visit the planet.
In 1970, Dr. Ray Brown, a naturopathic practitioner from Mesa, Arizona, went scuba diving with some friends near the Bari Islands in the Bahamas, close to a popular area known as the Tongue of the Ocean. During one of his dives, Brown became separated from his friends and while searching for them he was startled when he came across a strange pyramid shape silhouetted against the aquamarine light.
Upon investigating further, Brown was surprised by how smooth and mirror-like was the stone surface of the whole structure, with the joints between the individual blocks almost indiscernible.
Swimming around the capstone, which Brown thought might have been lapis lazuli, he discovered an entrance and decided to explore inside. Passing along a narrow hallway, Brown finally came to a small rectangular room with a pyramid-shaped ceiling. He was totally amazed that this room contained no algae or coral growing on the inner walls. They were completely spotless!
In addition, though Brown had brought no torch with him, he could nevertheless see everything in the room with his normal eyesight. The room was well lit, but no direct light source was visible.
Brown's attention was drawn to a brassy metallic rod three inches in diameter hanging down from the apex of the center of the room and at its end was attached a many-facetted red gem, which tapered to a point. Directly below this rod and gem, sitting in the middle of the room, was a stand of carved stone topped by a stone plate with scrolled ends. On the plate there was a pair of carved metal bronze-colored hands, life-sized, which appeared blackened and burnt, as if having been subjected to tremendous heat.
3. The area is shaped like a pyramid because the area is a major grid point of energy linked to one of 12 ethereal pyramids that create the matrix of our reality.
Some scientists have advanced the theory that many of the planes and ships that have been lost and that have disappeared within the Bermuda Triangle have been transported into some kind of Black Hole or time warp. This is, I would strongly suggest, simply not true. Those individuals who were aboard planes and ships when they disappeared have basically been returned to spirit.
On a few rare occasions, ships that had been reported as having vanished have actually returned. The crew members, though, have all appeared to be insane, incoherent and babbling wild stories. This has occurred because there are certain times when the force field projected by the Atlantean fire-crystals is not strong enough to effect total disintegration. Mental disorientation results instead!
It is very similar to someone who receives an overdose from a shock treatment to the brain. Not enough, perhaps, to kill, or destroy the person, but enough to seriously damage the brain structure and to cause insanity and other forms of madness. The ramblings that all these crew members have related are hallucinations, thoughts of fear and of unknown indescribable horrors with which their minds cannot possibly cope.
In addition to the damaged Atlantean Fire-Crystals, the Timekeeper Crystal still stands guard within the ruined Atlantean Temple of Healing. The great Timekeeper Crystal, however, does not project its energies in the same way as the fire-crystals because it is hermetically sealed.
The Timekeeper Crystal is waiting patiently for the time which is yet to come when once again it will play its important role in the affairs of the world!
Nestled in the hands, and situated four feet directly below the ceiling rod gem point, was a crystal sphere four inches in diameter. Brown tried to loosen the ceiling rod and red gemstone but neither would move. Returning to the crystal sphere, he found, to his amazement, that it separated easily from the bronze hand holders. With the crystal sphere in his right hand he then made his way out of the pyramid. As he departed, Brown felt an unseen presence and heard a voice telling him never to return!
Fearing, rightly, that his unusual prize might be confiscated as salvage-treasure by the American Government, Dr. Brown did not reveal the existence of his strange crystal sphere, nor did he relate his experiences until 1975, when he exhibited his crystal for the first time at a psychic seminar in Phoenix.
Since that time, the crystal sphere has made only a very few public appearnces but on each occasion people who have seen it have experienced strange phenomena directly associated with it.
Deep inside the crystal form, one gazes upon three pyramidical images, one in front of the other, in decreasing sizes. Some people who enter a deep meditative state of consciousness are able to discern a fourth pyramid, in the foreground of the other three.
Elizabeth Bacon, a New York psychic, claimed while in trance, that the crystal sphere had once belonged to Thoth, the Egyptian God who was responsible for burying a secret vault of knowledge in Giza, near the three great Pyramids.
Perhaps the positions of the three pyramidical images in the crystal sphere hold the long-sought key to finding a fourth, as yet unfound. Looking at the crystal sphere from the side, the internal images dissolve into thousands of tiny fracture lines. Brown feels that these may prove to be electrical in nature, like some form of microscopic circuitry. From yet another angle, and under special conditions, many people have been able to see a large single human eye staring out serenely at them. Photographs of this eye have also been taken!
4.Kusche's research
Intrigued by the number of students coming to him looking for information about the Bermuda Triangle, Lawrence Kusche, a reference librarian with Arizona State University at the time of the "Flight 19" incident, began an exhaustive follow-up investigation of the original reports. His findings were eventually published in 1975 as The Bermuda Triangle Mystery: Solved.
Kusche's research revealed a number of inconsistencies between Berlitz's accounts and statements from eyewitnesses, participants, and others involved in the initial incidents. He noted cases where pertinent but late-arriving information went unreported. The Berlitz book included the disappearance of round-the-world yachtsman Donald Crowhurst as a mystery, despite clear evidence that Crowhurst had fabricated the accounts of his voyage, and that his diary strongly suggested he had committed suicide. An ore carrier Berlitz recounts as lost without trace three days out of an Atlantic port was actually lost three days out of a port of the same name in the Pacific Ocean. Kusche argues that a large percentage of the incidents attributed to the Bermuda triangle's mysterious influence actually occurred well outside it,
Kusche came to several conclusions:
With this area being one of the busiest shipping areas in the world, the proportion of losses was no greater than anywhere else.
In an area with frequent tropical storms, the total disappearance of some ships was not unlikely or mysterious, and the number of such disappearances was exaggerated by sloppy research, when a missing boat would be reported in the press, but not its eventual return to port.
In actual disappearances, the circumstances were frequently misreported in the Bermuda Triangle books: the number of ships disappearing in supposedly still, calm weather did not jibe with press weather reports published at the time.
While Kusche's analysis provides a skeptical counterbalance to Berlitz's book, we can still expect to see books and websites devoted to uncovering the mysteries of the Bermuda Triangle.

The geographical position of the Bermudan delta
Bermuda archipelago is located in the east bank of America in the Atlantic. US Florida acme, the east edge of West Indies and Bermuda archipelago encircle a triangle region, which is the famous "Bermudan delta". Since 1945, more than 1,200 people has been missing or dead in this region. Ships and airplanes must be especially careful passing through this part of sea, because these people were vanished without a trace under unknown situation.
The earliest record
The earliest record of the mystical missing events in history occurred in 1840, a French ship "in Rosa" was heading from France to Cuba. It was known for its outstanding functions at that time, and on the ship there were full of perfume, wines and other precious goods. After leaving French for several weeks, the ship was discovered in the Bermudan triangle sea area by the English navy. The goods were complete on the ship, but all the crew members were missing. Hereafter similar missing events kept popping up.

The Famous missing event
On March 4, 1918, the United States Navy "Cysic Ropes", carried more than 10 thousand tons of ore, and 309 crew members, was entirely vanished without a trace. The military searching result pointed out that, nor a corpse or a drifting object was discovered. The people were missing as if they were fallen into another space.

In April, 1932, an England's large-scale sailing ship "Iraq Mu compared to Lik" was discovered floating on sea surface. It was strange that the hull was complete as in the beginning, the painting remained well attached, and on the ship the sail was neatly situated at the same place. But the whole ship crew were disappeared.

Besides the ships, it was also difficult for the airplanes to get away form the doom. On December 5, 1945, five navy fighting aircrafts took off from Florida, while the weather nice and sunny. After an hour and 20 minutes, the group or aircrafts flied into the Bermudan delta sea area. Suddenly an unimaginable conversation came out from the radio, “we can’t see. . . . . . the direction is unclear, it’s unable to measure position. . . . . . . where are we. . . . . I’m feeling dizzy. . . . . . it’s all blank around. . . . . . I don’t know what’s happening . . . . . the situation is terrible, we’re losing directions, and the sea disappears. . . . . . . . . “ Afterwards the five aircrafts had lost contact.

On January 29, 1948, a four-engine English navigation airplane, carried 21 passengers, lost contact with the control tower on its way flying to Bermuda. It also lost trace on the radar screen. And no fuel or wreck was found.

In 1960, an United States military fighter aircraft was devoured by the fog before the crowd of people, watching. According to the description of the witnesses, that day the weather was clear, and five fighter planes lift off, making routine flying training. 800 meters away from seacoast above the sky, the group of airplanes went into the only pile of cloud in the sky. At that point the weird event happened. When the aircraft flied out from the cloud layer, there were four planes instead of five. There was turmoil in the base, even the radar screen in the control tower couldn’t find the missing one. Of course, the reconnaissance troops that had been sent out were also unable to find any debris of the plane in the sea.
